Ingredient Spotlight: Activated Charcoal for Hair & Scalp

Charcoal has been around for centuries. It has been reportedly used since 30,000 B.C. It is made by smelting. It has been found in ancient cave drawings and tattoos of pre-historic peoples. Activated charcoal has supported me in many ways including gut health. I encourage you to do some research of your own and learn why it used as a primary ingredient in our Solid Hair Soap Bar.

On my path to becoming a certified herbalist, I have been studying the effects of how activated charcoal supports skin and hair. In my studies, I realized the benefits of charcoal on the scalp. That is why in 2021, I began formulating with activated charcoal to create our Solid Hair Soap Bar. At Bubbly Moon Naturals we use activated charcoal to improve the hair's volume and cleanse the scalp by removing excess oil.  Activated charcoal is the refined version of charcoal and because it is more porous (it allows for it to cleanse a larger area).
